About the DubSea Fish Sticks
The DubSea Fish Sticks are more than a summer collegiate baseball team—we are a family entertainment organization dedicated to creating unforgettable experiences for our fans while developing outstanding collegiate baseball players.
Our mission is to provide fun, affordable entertainment for families throughout the Pacific Northwest while operating one of the premier summer collegiate baseball programs in the country. We believe winning on the field is important, but developing exceptional young men, serving our community, and creating lifelong memories for our fans are equally important.
Our coaches are educators, mentors, and leaders. Every interaction with a player, fan, host family, sponsor, or community member reflects our organization and helps shape the reputation of the DubSea Fish Sticks.
Position Summary
The Head Coach is responsible for leading all aspects of the DubSea Fish Sticks baseball program. This individual oversees recruiting, on-field operations, player development, roster management, travel logistics, while helping create a first-class experience for players, staff, sponsors, host families, and fans.
The Head Coach is expected to lead with humility, professionalism, and a servant leadership mindset while working collaboratively with the Team President and front office staff to fulfill the organization’s vision.

Success is measured not only by championships, but also by how much our players improve during the summer, the relationships we build, the culture we create, and the lasting impact we have on each player’s life.
Every player should leave the DubSea Fish Sticks a better baseball player, a better teammate, and a better person than when they arrived.

Baseball Operations
- Recruit college players from around the country
- Lead all aspects of the baseball program throughout the season.
- Plan and conduct high-quality practices focused on player improvement.
- Develop lineups, pitching rotations, and game strategy.
- Manage all in-game coaching decisions.
- Supervise assistant coaches and baseball staff.
- Establish team standards for accountability, effort, and professionalism.
- Foster a competitive but positive clubhouse culture.
- Ensure compliance with organization, stadium, King County, league policies, rules and regulations.
Player Development
- Teach the fundamentals of baseball at a high level.
- Help players improve defensively, offensively, mentally, and physically.
- Conduct individual player meetings throughout the season.
- Give honest, constructive feedback.
- Prepare players for collegiate and professional opportunities.
- Develop leadership qualities and personal accountability.
- Work with college coaches to understand each player’s goals.
- Evaluate player progress regularly.
Recruiting & Roster Management
- Recruit talented student-athletes who fit the organization’s culture.
- Build relationships with collegiate coaches.
- Evaluate prospective players year-round.
- Manage roster construction and player movement.
- Coordinate player arrivals, departures, housing, and eligibility.
- Work with the Team President on roster planning.
Organizational Leadership
- Understand every game is both baseball and family entertainment.
- Support the mission of providing fun, affordable entertainment.
- Encourage positive player interaction with fans.
- Participate in promotions, ceremonies, and community events.
- Collaborate with the front office to enhance the guest experience.
Budget & Travel Management
- Coordinate all team travel efficiently.
- Manage transportation, lodging, and travel logistics.
- Operate within the approved baseball budget.
- Manage equipment inventories responsibly.
- Protect organizational assets.
- Seek approval for expenditures outside the approved budget.
Community Engagement
- Participate in youth camps and clinics.
- Attend sponsor and community events.
- Support fundraising and outreach initiatives.
- Participate in media interviews.
- Build relationships with fans, host families, and community partners.
